With all the greatness that Google Analytics has, it turns out that there are a few things it doesn’t have. You should know what google analytics cannot do.
Free version and still, Google Analytics can do everything! Well, almost everything.

- Give you overall website Insight.
- Give you realtime report.
- Know your audience.
- Know your visitor sources.
- Track your visitor’s behavior.
- Measure your Paid ads.
- Give you Conversion reports.
- You can make custom reports.
- etc.
Wow, there is so much that Google Analytics can do! Google Analytics always provide many insight in just one tool, I admit it. While I still confused to set up a simple goal/event, or read a realtime data, I can searching for help by Googling. But, overall, this is only a tool made by Google, so there must be drawbacks too.

Now, Let’s see what google analytics cannot do!
1.The famous (not provided) keywords.

Better check keywords performance in Search Console.
2. Not so Realtime…

Yup, this is one of what Google Analytics cannot do. Google Analytics Realtime active user report provides not very real-time. It needs a few second to collect active users on Realtime report.
3. Only Client ID, not Personally Identifiable Information.
Google can not provide any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), you can only see Client ID.

4. See any data before Google Analytics is implemented on the website.

For first time blogger and first time Google Analytics implementer, you can not see any historical data before Google Analytics is implemented on your website. This is what google analytics cannot do, i wonder, Are there any tools can read historical data before the tool is not implemented?
5. No outgoing report

You can know your audience source coming to your website, but you don’t know where they will go after visit your website. Use SEO tools such as Ahrefs to know about this.
That’s all what I think that what Google Analytics cannot do. So what do you think?
